ABOUT ME

From a young age I have  always loved art. Both of my parents are designers, my father an Industrial Designer and my mother a Graphic Designer. I excelled in art classes in High School and received many awards for local competitions. After graduating from High School I decided to pursue the arts at Brigham Young University in Hawaii. What better place to be inspired by the beauty that is an island? There, I completed my Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in 2- Dimensional Art. Graduating in 2009 as Summa Cum Laude and in Phi Kappa Phi. Since then I have broadened my field of art and have included many new materials and elements into my art. During school we focused mainly on oil painting, which is what I completed my final 12 piece show in to receivethe Fine, in Fine Arts Degree. From painting on wood, embroidering on paper, and just different mediums, I've tried a lot.

Lately I've been focused on colored pencil drawings. Faber-Castel are my favorite, with white highlights and black shadows in acrylic. My latest series has been flowers, most of which are currently showing at the Karen Wray Gallery in Los Alamos, NM. I've always been drawn to flowers, given their rainbow of colors and diverse textures. Although I love to experiment I'm always brought back to the more traditional mediums. I hope you stick around to see what I have in store next!
